What it is.
The S5-VTS is ScorpionTrack's insurance-approved Thatcham S5 tracker. It comes with two driver-recognition tags: if the car moves without one, the monitoring team is alerted and works with the police to recover it.
It tracks across the UK, Ireland and Europe, alerts you if the battery is disconnected, and has its own backup battery.

Will it fit?
Scorpion offers the S5-VTS for cars, vans, motorhomes, plant and agricultural vehicles, and fleets. It publishes no vehicle-network requirements for its trackers.

Carry your tag
The driver-recognition tag stays on your keyring. With it, you drive as normal.

No tag, alert
If the vehicle moves without a tag present, the monitoring centre is alerted straight away.

The monitoring team tracks the vehicle and works with the police to get it back.

01Do I need S5 or S7?
Your insurer's policy wording decides. S7 is monitored tracking; S5 adds driver-recognition tags, so the monitoring team is alerted if the vehicle moves without one. Send us the wording and we'll match the system to it.
02Does it work abroad?
Yes. It tracks across the UK, Ireland and Europe.
03Can I move the subscription to a new car?
Scorpion's own documents differ on this, so we'll confirm it for your subscription before you buy.
04Can it work with an immobiliser?
Yes. Its driver tag also disarms a paired Scorpion X-Series immobiliser.
